Kayla Andrade
Kayla is a young, small landlord in Cambridge, ON. She enjoys being a landlord and has nutured solid relationships with her tenants who remain long term. She cares about the future of affordable housing and the hardships of tenants who can't afford luxury units. She supports neither slumlords nor professional tenants and thinks it unfair to paint everyone with the same brush. She fights hard for fairness for all concerned. She will assist in connecting good tenants with good landlords and she will continue to fight to preserve affordable housing stock, minimize rising costs to tenants and advocate for laws that protect everyone. Sue Taylor Sue has advocated for tenants' rights for nearly 20 years. She was a former United Tenants of Ontario council member and a founding member of the Waterloo Region Tenants' Rights Association - the forerunner to the current R.E.N.T. group. She has worked closely with community legal clinics, anti-poverty groups and tenant's groups while actively pursuing Queen's Park for solutions of fairness to all parties. The fruits of her advocacy can be seen in the neighbourhoods improved through her direct efforts. She will continue to voice concerns for balance in provincial laws and fairness in municipal by-laws. |
